Our API is currently in public beta! With it, you can connect other software to Notion, automate actions within your workspace, and access integrations built by our partners.
Interested in building your own powerful workflows and integrations with Notion's API? Visit our developer hub for documentation, resources, and integration management tools.

Manage integrations in your workspace

👉
Note: only admins of a workspace will be able to access the Integrations tab in the Settings & Members menu.
  • In your left sidebar, navigate to Settings & Members and then the Integrations tab
  • Here, you'll see all of the existing integrations installed for this workspace, the admin who added each integration, and the date each integration was added.

  • Click the ••• next to an integration to see additional options:
    • Retrieve an API token for that integration (internal integrations only)
    • Visit the integration developer's website or contact their support (public integrations only)
    • Disconnect the integration

Install public integrations from developers

Install directly from a partner platform

Notion has partnered directly with several services (such as Zapier, Typeform, and Automate.io). You can add our partners' public integrations to your workspace directly through their sites.
  • Search for Notion in the partner platform's app menu and add it.
  • In the resulting authentication menu, you'll be asked by the partner integration to allow access your workspace.
  • Integrations are workspace-specific! Click the workspace name at the top right to switch to another workspace if needed. Then, press Select pages.

  • Now, you'll see a list of all of the pages in the selected workspace. Choose the pages you would like the integration to be able to access, and then press Allow access.
👉
Note: You will also be able to add and remove the integration from your pages later from within Notion. Instructions here →

  • Once you've completed the authentication, you'll see this integration in your workspace's Settings & Members menu → Integrations.
  • Click the ••• menu next to the integration name to visit the developer's website, contact the developer's support team, or disconnect the integration from your workspace.

Install via internal integration token

Some partner platforms require an internal integration token in order to link to your workspace.
  • In this case, first follow these instructions to create a corresponding internal integration for your workspace.
  • Once you've created the internal integration, navigate to Settings & Members in your sidebar and then the Integrations tab.
  • Click the ••• menu next to the existing internal integration that you'd like to link to a partner platform, and press Copy internal integration token.

  • Paste this internal integration token into the corresponding field on the partner platform's set up form. This allows them to link their service to your internal integration.
👉
Note: Notion does not support troubleshooting for partner integrations. Please direct any feedback and questions to the respective partner's support team.

Add integrations to pages

Integrations built with the API follow a similar permission system to the sharing permissions for Notion users. In order to use an integration in your workspace, you'll need to add it to the specific page where it will be active.
👉
Note: Only admins will be able to create and manage integrations for a workspace. However, once an integration exists in a workspace, all members will be able to add it to pages.
  • Navigate to the page in question and click the Share button on top right.
  • Click Add people, emails, groups, or integrations.
notion image
  • In the resulting pop-up, select the integration you would like to add to this page. You'll only see integrations that have been created for and associated with this workspace.
notion image
  • The integration will now appear in the Share menu for the page.

  • If you want to remove an integration from a page, click the dropdown next to its name and then press Remove.

FAQs

ℹ️
For technical FAQs when using Notion's API, see our developer FAQ.
Where can I find my API token?
Only workspace admins can access the API menu. If you are not an admin, please reach out to an admin on your team to generate an API token for you.
As an admin, click on Settings & Members in the upper left-hand corner. In the next window, click the Integrations tab.
You'll be able to retrieve tokens for existing internal integrations in the ••• menu next to their names. To add a new internal integration, follow the instructions here →

Where can I find the API documentation?
Our official API documentation is available at developers.notion.com.

What kind of API does Notion have?
We're building a REST API, which is the most commonly preferred type of API by developers. A RESTful API is an architectural style for an application program interface (API) that uses HTTP requests to access and use data. That data can be used to read, update, create and delete data.

Do I need to pay to access the Notion API?
No, the API is free for all users! Here's our pricing guide for more details.

What partner integrations are available?
For updates on new partners, follow us on Twitter at @NotionHQ and @NotionAPI! If you're interested in becoming a partner with us, please apply here.

I have an issue and/or feedback to share about a partner integration. Can you help?
Notion does not support troubleshooting for partner integrations. Please direct any feedback and questions to the respective partner's support team. To find the developer's information, go to your Settings & Members menu and then the Integrations tab. Click the ••• button next to any public integration and you'll see options to visit the developer website and contact their support team.

Do you have a list of partners you will integrate with in the future?
Thanks for asking! While we don't have any details to share at the moment, you can expect new partner integrations as they are available. Follow us on Twitter @NotionHQ and @NotionAPI for updates and announcements!

I'm interested in becoming a partner. How can I apply?
Thanks for the interest! You can apply to be a partner here.

I just submitted an application to be a partner. When can I expect to hear back?
Thanks so much for your patience. We're currently experiencing a large volume of requests. Please allow up to 7 days for us to get back to you. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with in the meantime!
