How it works
Notion for Nonprofits offers 50% off of Team plans to 501(c)(3) organizations and the international equivalent.
- Administrators, staff, and educators working for a K-12 or higher education institution are also eligible.
- Usually, a Team Plan costs $10 per person per month. With the Notion for Nonprofits discount, this reduces the price to $5 per member per month for Team Monthly plans, and $4 per member per month for Team Annual plans.

About our Team Plan
Of all the plans Notion offers, the Team Plan is especially well suited to nonprofits. It grows and scales with you, offering a central source of truth for team knowledge, decision-making, task management and more, so everyone stays on the same page. Here are the details:
- With the Notion for Nonprofits discount applied, it costs $4 per member per month if you pay for Notion yearly. It costs $5 per member per month if you pay for Notion monthly.
- You can invite as many members as you want. Guests from outside your workspace are free.
- There is no block limit.
- There is no file upload limit.
- Use permission controls to assign members different levels of access (comment-only, read-only, edit-only, etc.) as needed, and to control who can share content.
- Access version history of any page for up to 30 days.
- Access admin settings to configure your workspace in ways other members can't.
- Export all of your Notion content at once as Markdown or HTML.

How do I apply for the Notion for Nonprofits discount?
Easy! Fill out this form. Each organization can request up to 3 workspaces to be discounted. Please fill out separate forms for each request.
Who is eligible?
Organizations must be a nonprofit or non-governmental organization with recognized legal status in their respective country (equal to 501(c)(3) status under the United States Internal Revenue Code).
Your organization must not be any of the following:
- Nonprofit organizations that have not obtained recognized charitable status in their respective country
- Individuals
- A hospital, organization involved with health insurance or group health plans, or a related organization
- Healthcare organizations including hospitals and organizations involved with health insurance or group health plans (exceptions include independent nonprofit organizations with the following missions: community; behavioral and women's health clinics; children’s health; rural medical facilities; hospices; emergency services; rescue and emergency services; and blood, tissue and organ banks).
My non-profit is not yet registered, will I qualify?
No. We require organizations to be registered. However, your team can sign up for the trial while in the process of registration.
To get on a trial, please go to “Settings & Members" in the left menu, then “Upgrade” or “Plans.” If you are on a Personal Pro plan, please go ahead and downgrade to a free Personal plan, then click "Try for free" as shown below:
You'll have 1000 content blocks to work with, unlimited guests, and no time limit.

How much does the Team Plan cost with the Notion for Nonprofits discount applied?
We're offering 50% off Team Annual and Monthly plans.
$4 per member, per month for Team Annual plans. Equivalent to $48 per member, per year.
$5 per member, per month for Team Monthly plans.
If you have 5 members in your workspace:
Annual plan: $4 x 5 members x 12 months = $240 per year (paid once)
Monthly plan: $5 x 5 members x 1 month = $25 per month ($300 per year total)
Guests are free of charge – but they can only access individual pages they are invited to. In other words, guests won’t be able to see all the team pages under the "Workspace" section in the left sidebar.
How does monthly vs. annual billing work?
Choosing the Annual plan means paying once a year at a discounted rate, whereas choosing the monthly plan means paying each month at the regular rate.
If you switch between these in the middle of your pay period, your Workspace will be credited or charged with a prorated amount based on the remaining time on your previous plan.
How many subscriptions can I purchase?
We allow 3 subscriptions per organization. This means you can upgrade 3 separate workspaces.
What happens after I submit my form?
Our team will need 3-5 business days to process your application.
Once approved, your workspace will be upgraded. You'll receive an invoice from Notion at the discounted rate in the email you provided, which you can pay via credit card, ACH, or wire transfer.

Do you offer education discounts?
The Personal Pro Plan is free for students and educators in higher education. This lets you collaborate with unlimited guests and gives you version history. Simply sign up with your school email address and you’ll immediately gain access to these features.
If you’re already on a Personal Pro Plan, change the email associated with your account to your school email address to get it for free. If you're already on our free Education Plan, you've been automatically upgraded to the Personal Pro Plan.
We do not currently offer discounts for students in K-12.
I am an educator/staff at a K-12 institution. Can I apply?
We offer 50% off our Team plans for administrators, staff, and educators in K-12. We require documentation supporting your institution's accreditation and/or nonprofit status in the application form. Reach out to your institution's central administrator for the documentation. Please attach it in question 13 of the form.
I am an educator/staff at a higher education institution. Can I apply?
Yes. We offer 50% off our Team plans for administrators, staff, and educators. We require documentation supporting your institution's accreditation status in the application form. Reach out to your institution's central administrator for the documentation. Please attach it in question 13 of the form.
I am a student. Can I apply?
We currently do not offer the Notion for Nonprofits discount for students from K-12 institutions. Our K-12 discounts are only for administrators, staff, and teachers.
If you are a student at a post secondary institution, you are eligible for the Education Plan. Please refer to notion.so/students
I am part of a nonprofit student club / organization. Can I apply?
Yes! We require documentation supporting your organization's nonprofit accreditation status in the application form. Please attach it in question 13 of the form.
Note for minors
As set forth in Notion's Terms and Conditions, individuals must at least 13 years old in order to use our service. Minors below the age of 13 are not permitted to use our service.
